Scopus is a citation database promoted by a few affiliated universities as the preferred tool to calculate h-index. Generally Scopus requires a subscription to access. Children's Mercy Library Services does subscribe to Scopus. You can access the full version of Scopus through our library holdings.
A search completed through subscribed access to Scopus will include a detail h-index graph and citation list of documents contributed to the author instead of only the most recent.
Important things to know about Scopus:
- Scopus does not include every journal or publication. Scopus is very exclusive in regards to what publications are included within their citation lists. This means some articles and resources may not be included in your results. Search Scopus' Sources to confirm details regarding which journals and materials are included in Scopus
- If you have changed institutions or your name, Scopus may have created multiple profiles for you. You can search for your profile to review your documents. If needed, you can request Scopus merge your author profiles to create one overall profile. Only an author can request this change through the Author Feedback Wizard.
- The Author Feedback Wizard also allows you to request the addition or removal of articles in your profile.
Please note: Due to recent changes to Scopus Library Services staff are no longer able to manually pull h-index reports from Scopus. Citation overviews are only available from the author profile page. If changes are needed to an author profile page requests to Scopus may take several business days to a few weeks for processing.
Libraries Services staff are available to review your profile in Scopus and note if any changes are needed. Once a profile is considered complete staff will pull your report. Any change requests must come from the author. If you would like for us to assist please complete a request through our Service Now form and include either a copy of your CV or a complete citation list.
