How to Find Books

How to search for eBooks in the Library, how to find and place holds on print books, how to navigate different eBook platforms, and how to request books through interlibrary loan if the Library does not have them.

If you do not find the book you are looking for in our eBook or print collections, you can request it through our interlibrary loan service (ILL).  As ILL can cost the Library a fee, we will only borrow books for work-related purposes.  If you need a book for school or personal use, please use your university or public library ILL services.

Do not use the ILL portal to request books that the Library has online or in print.  The Library will not request copies of these books from other libraries on your behalf.

Login with your CMH login and password (SSO).  If you have not used this request portal before please review our complete guide on ILL. If you haven't already done so you will first have to fill out your profile (name and email) so we know how to notify you when the book comes in.

Under New Request, click on Book.

Fill out the form and click Submit.  The fields marked with an asterisk are required.  You can check the status of your request at any time by returning to the Article/Book Request link and logging in.
