How to Find Books

How to search for eBooks in the Library, how to find and place holds on print books, how to navigate different eBook platforms, and how to request books through interlibrary loan if the Library does not have them.

Print Books

To find print materials you will need to search our Library Catalog. You can search by book title, author, or subject. There are additional search terms under each drop down.

The search results can be sorted via the drop down at the top. The results will show you if we have the book and if it is available or checked out.

You can place a hold on the book you want and it will be pulled from the shelves, checked out to you, labeled with your name, and placed on the hold shelf just inside and behind the Library Services door.  You will be notified by email when the book is ready for you to collect.

Place the hold by clicking on the circling green arrow.  A pop-up window will ask for your employee ID number.  You may also leave a message to send the book to your off-site (KC metro area only) location by interoffice mail.  If the book is checked out, you will be next in line to get it.
